Players who are registered with professional clubs on `pay as you play’ contracts will be available for selection in this year’s Xamax BARLA National Youth Cups.
The BARLA Board of Management has confirmed that Academy players on such deals will be entitled to take part in their blue riband competitions.
However, those on professional contracts will continue to be ineligible.
