Whitehaven winger Craig Calvert became the club’s all-time top try scorer in Saturday night’s match against Featherstone.
Calvert’s opening try took him past the mark of 225 set by Haven legend David Seeds.
There had been a number of differing figures both for Calvert’s total and that of Seeds.
But extensive checking between the RFL’s statistician Daniel Spencer and Haven historian Brian Sharples confirmed the totals for both.
Former centre Seeds – who later went on to coach the club – scored 225 tries in 358 appearances between 1993 and 2007.
Calvert passed that total with his early try against Rovers, having played 301 matches for the Cumbrians since making his debut in 2004.
The winger passed a late fitness test for James Coyle’s side, having suffered from a chest infection in recent weeks.
Widnes Vikings youngster Ryan Ince had been on standby to make his debut for the club on dual registration but was not needed.
