This club deserves to be in Super League, says Danny Addy

Bradford Bulls star Danny Addy insists the class of 2016 at the Provident Stadium is good enough to win promotion – and says the club deserves to be in Super League.

Addy was the hero last weekend, kicking a last-gasp conversion to rescue a 32-32 draw against fellow promotion contenders Leigh Centurions, after the Bulls trailed 32-6 midway through the second half.

But Addy, speaking to the Telegraph and Argus, insists that late fightback shows their promotion credentials in abundance – and the club is deserving of a place in the top flight.

“We got so far last season and fell short at the final hurdle, but we know what we’re capable of and we showed that in those last 15 minutes against Leigh, so hopefully this year we can try and win automatic promotion,” he said.

“That will obviously be our target in the coming months because this is definitely a Super League team we have here, without a doubt.

“We showed that towards the end of last year and at times this year.

“No disrespect to anyone else, but this club deserves to be up there in Super League – playing the likes of Leeds and Wigan on a Friday night.”
