Coleman signs brother Jy-mel at Skolars

London Skolars have confirmed the signing of halfback Jy-mel Coleman for the rest of the season.

Jy-mel, the brother of current Skolars head coach Jermaine, currently has 32 appearances for the Skolars during a previous three-year stint from 2009 to 2011 and is expected to commence playing with the squad in the next few weeks.

Skolars have been keen on signing the halfback for some time, but a six-month betting ban restricted the club from doing so.

Mark Croston director of football said:“Jymel will be a fantastic addition to the squad. We are playing well at the moment and still have a long way to go as a squad. Jymel will help bring the best out of the players around him and I am very excited at seeing him and Jermaine reunited on the playing field.”

An in-depth interview with Skolars coach Jermaine Coleman on the signing of Jy-Mel Coleman will be in next week’s League Express.
