Wigan will be without Liam Farrell for Sunday’s game with Wakefield due to suspension.
Farrell used his early guilty plea after being charged by the RFL for Grade B striking with the knees.
The incident happened against Warrington when the England international went in late on Stefan Ratchford while he was in the process of scoring.
It leaves Shaun Wane with a major squad crisis, with up to nine first-team players unavailable for the game with Chris Chester’s in-form side. Sean O’Loughlin is likely to be out with a hamstring problem while John Bateman, Anthony Gelling and Ben Flower are all likely to join long-term absentees such as Sam Tomkins, Michael McIlorum and Dom Crosby on the sidelines for the game.
