We’re not panicking, insists Liam Sutcliffe

Leeds Rhinos half-back Liam Sutcliffe has insisted the squad are refusing to panic over their horrendous start to the new season.

The Rhinos have won just two of their first 10 games in the defence of their Super League title from last season, and could go bottom on Friday night if a Rhinos loss to Hull is coupled with a Huddersfield victory against Warrington.

Yet Sutcliffe sees no cause to panic, instead preferring to draw on the positives from their recent performances to reaffirm the belief that the Rhinos will come good.

“It was very disappointing to lose again but there were many positives, especially from where we’ve been at the last couple of weeks,” Sutcliffe said.

“We’re not panicking. We know we’re not in a great position but everyone is still confident in the team’s ability and what we can do.

“You can’t dwell too much on the past because it won’t do you any good. You beat yourself up at the weekend but, come Monday morning, everyone is ready and raring to go again. It will come good.”
